Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS)
Work found on this page was created for the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (https://phacsstudy.org/). Resources are released in English and Spanish.
I created Coco the tortoise to serve as a character through coloring pages that children receive at study visits. Coco goes through similar things that children might experience at these study visits and these pages aim to reduce anxiety about visits.
Lay Summary Animation
PHACS releases lay summaries about selected papers that the study has released yearly. These lay summaries break down complex topics for the general public and when I joined the PHACS team they approached me about adapting one of these lay summaries as an animation.
Geocoding Animation
As the study roles out a new data collection called geocoding they wanted to relieve participant anxiety about providing personal addresses and explaining what the data is used for in the study. We came to the conclusion that an animation would be the best approach to this.
Project Positive
I helped create Project Positive through researching, collecting content, programming, and testing the website.
